Lifestyle and Independence

"Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness"
United States Declaration of Independence

"Security is two inches behind your belt, where you either keep your guts or you don't. The rest is eyewash"
Lee Marvin

What is best in life? Good question. According to Conan, it's to crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women. But leaving barbarism to one side for the moment, what most of us can agree on is that lifestyle is vitally important to us all.

For each of us, what constitutes an ideal lifestyle is different. For one person, it may be urban Los Angeles; for another, rural Taiwan; for a third, constant global travel. One man's heaven is another's hell. What is true for  us all, however, is that the degree to which our lifestyle conforms to our ideals directly controls our overall wellbeing.

Only a fool would believe that an ideal lifestyle is one of idleness. Another common truth that connects us all is that in order to be truly fulfilled, a healthy person needs productive labor; physically or mentally energetic work that tests and exercises his or her innate talents and practiced abilities.

We live at a tremendous turning point in history. For the first time, the global everyman has technology at his fingertips that allows people distributed around the world to meet, collaborate, pool their resources, create - and earn. This opens up a vibrant world of lifestyle choices to anyone who has the forthrightness, the self-belief, and the understanding to take the plunge into freedom.

Unfettered by the noose tying the laborer to his farmstead, lathe or cubicle, the educated, intelligent common man of today can live wherever he is happiest, and sustain himself and his family in new ways that are only just beginning to be explored.

Freedom on the High Seas

 Freedom on the high seas

This is not for everyone; many are unprepared. Paradigm change is never without its casualties. Self-determination requires self-discipline, and decades of hierarchical corporate subservience has sucked that out of many people. The gilded cage of steady salaries, paid whether we earned them or not, created a bubble of illusory entitlement that let us forget what our ancestors knew without thinking; that action sustains life and that inaction means death.

But for the lucky few - a rapidly increasing number - the opportunity to pursue creative, rewarding, entrepreneurial goals in exciting new ways is a godsend, a chance to run at full speed while others trudge along, weighed down by mistaken assumptions.

Creadyne was formed by and for these New Freedmen - we work with people across the world who share many common characteristics as well as our common purpose; we tend to be young, technical, artistic, self-driven, self-reliant, questing, globally-minded, independent, collaborative, meritocratic, often expatriate. In fact, most of our clients exhibit these qualities as well!

We share the knowledge that free men and women, dynamically motivated, create wonderful things.

"Not forever by still waters would we idly rest and stay,
But would smite the living fountains from the rocks along our way"

Love Maria Willis, 1864
